Bridging the communication gap...
The first 5 years of life, when the brain is developing and maturing, is the most critical period for developing speech and language skills. The stimulation of language development is important as the brain is developing new cells to serve the function of language.
Any lack of stimulation during this time may result in a child making slower progress or end up with poor communication skills. We have sourced some toys to help with language development but we do recommend that you spend a sufficient amount time talking, playing and reading to your child.
These toys are highly recommended for this age range in enhancing and aiding the child in their speech & language development. The toys provided all have a minimum rating of 3.5 stars on Amazon. Please note that some of the toys listed below also help to advance other development areas, but their main aim is for this category.
